Phishing is when someone creates an email or message and tries to persuade an individual or business to give out passwords, important information such as financial records or medical history, or to download malware. As technology progresses many of the ways scammers use to do things are no longer working as email has become more technologically advanced and able to block potential spam. Individuals and businesses are also more aware of scammers and many businesses are having employees take courses on how to identify potential spam to further protect company information.
